Job Description

Our client, a leading-edge aerospace company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced aerospace machinery in Southampton, PA.


This role focuses on designing electrical systems for highly complex equipment, including advanced flight training simulators and human centrifuges used to train pilots to withstand up to 15 Gs.


You’ll work across a range of sophisticated systems, including servo motors and drives, PC-based data acquisition for analog and digital I/O, operator control panels, transformers, power supplies, electrical slip rings, and integrated audio/video systems. The position also involves close coordination with production teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and ready for integration.


This is a hands-on design role centered in AutoCAD Electrical, where your work directly translates into real-world, functioning aerospace machinery!


Responsibilities

  • Create and modify electrical design packages, schematics, and wiring diagrams for complex machinery
  • Customize and adapt existing designs to meet new system requirements
  • Design control panels, power distribution systems, and overall electrical architecture
  • Incorporate appropriate communication protocols (e.g., CANbus, EtherCAT) into system designs where applicable
  • Apply grounding principles and electrical best practices to ensure safe and reliable system performance
  • Ensure designs meet applicable electrical codes and standards, including NEC and UL where relevant
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Collaborate with production and assembly teams during system integration to ensure practical, cost-effective implementation
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and CAD files


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial machinery or similar equipment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical (required)
  • Experience designing control panels, wiring diagrams, and electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of core electrical principles (power distribution, grounding, system integration)
  • Ability to collaborate with production teams and support system integration


Location: Southampton PA (Onsite)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8a-5pm
