Job Description

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are a marine technology company with a proud history of defense & private industry products, including marine research and offshore energy. Our technology helps map, monitor, and protect underwater environments and infrastructure. Right now we're looking for a strong Electrical Engineer to do board-level design for our product line.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the architectural design of sonar platforms and systems in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Lead critical analog design efforts, including low-noise front-end design, signal acquisition, signal integrity, and grounding strategies
  • Support transmitter and receiver transducer designs, including development of transmit amplifiers and power systems
  • Partner with PCB layout, mechanical, and transducer engineers to develop integrated electronic and electromechanical solutions
  • Lead board and system bring-up, ensuring overall functionality and performance
  • Participate in at-sea testing of sonar systems
  • Develop and execute system- and board-level test plans to validate performance and support transfer to manufacturing
  • Provide ongoing support to manufacturing, including production, testing, and troubleshooting of PCBs and subassemblies
  • Collaborate on engineering change orders, new product introductions, and bill of materials management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE preferred)
  • 10+ years of hands-on analog design experience, including low-noise circuit and board-level design
  • Proven experience integrating, testing, and validating complex systems (sonar or radar experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with analog simulation, schematic capture tools, and lab test/measurement equipment
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate, share knowledge, and support cross-functional groups
