Electrical Engineering Co-op - Fall 2026 Location: Kent, OH, US, 44240 Business Unit: Bison Posting Date: May 9, 2026 Job Description: This is an opportunity for engineering students to gain real‑world experience working on actual engineering projects within the Bison business unit. Our division designs and produces motors, blowers, pumps, motor drives, and associated electronics that are used in a variety of demanding industries. What you will do: Work directly with experienced engineers to design, test, document, and validate new components and products Build, document, and validate the electro‑mechanical performance of motors, gearmotors, blowers, drives, software, circuitry, and other products Conduct tests, analyze data, and provide formal report‑outs on findings and recommendations Create and support the development of technical documentation What we are looking for: Must be enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program at an accredited university; Mechanical and Electrical Engineering majors would typically be a good fit, but similar majors are considered Sophomore or higher-level standing 3.0 GPA or higher Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e‑mail to effectively communicate with others is highly beneficial Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to read assembly prints for assembly/disassembly of motors and gearmotors given training and supervision Knowledge or interest in embedded systems programming or PCB design is a plus Additional characteristics: Ability to set up and tear down mechanical and electrical test equipment Ability to work in a laboratory environment Energetic, inquisitive, and motivated Compensation Employee Type: Hourly Salary Minimum: $35,000 Salary Maximum: $55,000 Incentive: No Employees will receive a competitive benefits package in addition to their base compensation.
