Job Description: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Location: Zeeland, MI (Onsite)

- Provide maintenance support to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and the team with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve emergency mechanical and electrical issues.
- Safely apply troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
- Minimize downtime by effectively diagnosing equipment failures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for equipment.
- Work with pumps, hydraulics, welding, and other mechanical systems.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical theory, wiring systems, and installation practices.
- Collaborate with plant personnel to achieve both team and plant goals.
Education:
- 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education preferred (Industrial Maintenance Diploma or current enrollment in technical school) in lieu of experience.
- Electrician or journeyman license preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year industrial maintenance experience or equivalent.
- Must have hands-on experience in hydraulics, compressed air systems, and welding.
Computer Skills:
- Basic computer skills are required to log information, process work orders, and complete documentation.
- Ability to learn and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communication & Math Skills:
- Effective communication skills and basic math skills (percentages, fractions, measurements).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; frequent lifting of 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours.
- Work in confined/tall spaces, climb ladders, operate lifts, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Frequent overhead work and exposure to varying temperatures inside the plant (-25 F to over 100 F) and outdoor conditions.
- Minimum of 1 year industrial maintenance experience or equivalent, including hands-on experience with hydraulics, compressed air systems, and welding.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and operate CMMS.
- Effective communication and basic math skills.
- Industrial maintenance diploma or current enrollment in a technical school.
- Electrician or journeyman license.
- Experience with a wide range of maintenance tasks and system troubleshooting in an industrial setting.
