Electrical Systems Engineer Sofidel America , part of the Sofidel Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of tissue paper for hygienic and domestic use, is committed to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence across its global operations. We are currently seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a long‑term opportunity for a technically skilled professional who is local to the area and eager to grow within a stable, forward‑moving manufacturing environment. Your expertise will play a key role in supporting and optimizing our operations. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise to enhance the efficiency of operational systems, improve product quality, and reduce costs through continuous improvement. Conduct electrical and instrumentation maintenance; replace, repair, and troubleshoot components as needed. Program and monitor computerized systems, including PLC/DCS platforms, to ensure reliable plant operations. Maintain and service robotic systems, ensuring mechanical and electrical components are functioning properly through internal and external resources. Lead and support capital projects and major expense initiatives. Supervise operations of the automatic warehouse, including real‑time monitoring of hardware and software systems. Coordinate with Maintenance and Corporate Supply Chain teams to resolve critical system malfunctions and implement improvement solutions. Interface with software vendors for approved system upgrades or fixes. Ensure Warehouse Management Systems are properly integrated with company management systems. Implement preventive maintenance plans and identify process improvement opportunities. Maintain and service electrical distribution systems through internal and external resources. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electro‑Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of industry‑related experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong analytical and technical problem‑solving skills. Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming and troubleshooting. Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of electromechanical systems. Excellent communication, documentation, and computer skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and promote a safety‑first culture. Experience in automated warehouse systems and industrial environments preferred. Ability to effectively manage technical challenges and support cross‑functional teams.
