Job Description: We are seeking an Electrical Technical Specialist to join our Tennessee Operations in Alcoa, Tennessee. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical troubleshooting to maintenance and operations teams to restore product flow efficiently.
  • Offer technical leadership and training to craft employees, enhancing their technical capabilities.
  • Develop solutions to recurring design, process, and application problems, and analyze equipment and process data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assist the maintenance department with short and long-term outage planning and follow-up on VPM issues and daily management action register items.
  • Manage and implement small capital projects, major repairs, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide direct support to the Maintenance Organization and respond to trouble calls on a 24/7 basis, including frequent shift and weekend line/maintenance support.
  • Design manufacturing processes and procedures, focusing on continuous improvement of manufacturing methods.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing personnel, acting as a technical resource, and assist in the justification of new equipment.
  • Interface with other departments to address and resolve technical issues, adhering to the company's EH&S, quality, continuous improvement, and other policies.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with electrical systems and controls in industrial applications.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience with manufacturing processes and principles.
  • Expertise in product and process failure analysis and knowledge of world-class manufacturing techniques (e.g., lean manufacturing, FMEA, RCM, SPC, TQM).
  • Experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting AC drives, DC drives, and AB Logix5000 series PLCs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong background in maintenance, with familiarity with HART communications and gas-fired combustion systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

About the Role: This mid-senior-level role is well-suited for candidates with 5+ years of experience in electrical systems within industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong maintenance background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
