Overview ERG is a research and consulting firm that provides multidisciplinary support to federal, state, and commercial clients. This position is a full‑time electrician with mid‑to senior‑level experience supporting all electrical systems at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head. The role operates in an industrial/manufacturing environment, interacting with ERG personnel at the facility and from the offices in Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia. Alternative work schedules may be considered. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints Ensure compliance with all building and safety regulations and facility policies Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to install and maintain electrical systems Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment Maintain accurate records of activities, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory Order and maintain inventory of supplies and spare parts Coordinate with contractors and vendors to perform repairs and maintenance on electrical equipment and systems Operate and maintain a bucket truck to complete the maintenance of cabling systems Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in electrical technology or related field preferred Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Journeyman license OR 8 years of experience without a Journeyman license Expert knowledge in lighting, power distribution, grounding and bonding, and lightning protection system requirements Experience managing network cabling within an energetic manufacturing environment Qualified installer of all media of cabling and terminations to support telecommunication systems internal and external to facilities Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pre‑employment physical exam required; ability to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret‑level security clearance Must be a U.S. citizen (position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations) Benefits ERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long‑term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401(k) plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11‑20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro‑rated for part‑time) and more.
