We at McCrum have an immediate opening for a full‑time Shift Electrician in our Washburn, Maine potato processing facility. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on complex food‑processing machinery, including 3‑phase motors, sensors, and automated controls. Service and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other instrumentation devices. Install and maintain conduit, wiring, lighting, and electrical panels throughout the facility. Perform scheduled inspections and testing of electrical systems to prevent downtime, completing preventive maintenance work orders daily to ensure optimal operation of equipment. Strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and NEC standards to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements A valid State of Maine Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or the ability to obtain one). Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred). Proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints and using diagnostic tools (multimeters, ammeters, etc.). Ability to stand, walk, and climb for a 12‑hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
