The Electrician is responsible for managing the installation, repair, and maintenance of SCADA, electrical, and control systems in oil and gas production facilities. The role troubleshoots and repairs diverse electrical, automation, and communication equipment, providing technical expertise. The role determines specifications for equipment upgrades and contributes to electric power installations. The role supports field personnel, assists in project planning, performs complex electrical maintenance tasks, and plays a key role in emergency communication and response coordination. The role also assists in the orientation and training of lower-level employees, fostering knowledge sharing and contributing to their professional development. Responsibilities Manages the installation, repair, and maintenance of SCADA, electrical, and control systems in oil and gas production facilities, ensuring seamless operation and compliance with all electrical regulatory codes, standards, and environmental health and safety (EHS) protocols. Troubleshoots and repairs diverse electrical, automation, and communication equipment, showcasing technical expertise and problem‑solving skills. Determines requirements and specifications, providing valuable recommendations for communication, electrical, and automation equipment upgrades. Assists in electric power installations at various locations, contributing to efficient and reliable power supply. Supports field personnel in the operation and maintenance of automation equipment, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce. Assists in developing comprehensive scopes of work for the assessment of automation, electrical, and communication projects, ensuring thorough project planning. Works under general supervision to perform complex electrical maintenance tasks, including developing and implementing SOPs, contributing to efficient operations, and ensuring safety protocols. Assists with the orientation and training of lower-level employees, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their professional development. Maintains a field‑wide contact role, serving as a point of communication for all personnel during emergencies or significant occurrences, ensuring effective response and coordination. Education High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Experience 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Oilfield Automation, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation and Control Systems, Field Operations and Maintenance or a related field. Industry experience is preferred.
