Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join a dynamic team! The Electromechanical Assembler will be responsible for operating, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and calibrating electronic equipment. Your responsibilities includes reading blueprints, drilling bolt holes, assembling parts, inspecting them for imperfections, soldering electrical components, measuring parts, and verifying they are the correct dimensions based on customer specifications using precision measuring tools. Since 2004 this company has been designing, fabricating, integrating, testing, and installing telemetry systems for their customers throughout the world. They also modernizes, maintains, and repairs existing systems, including systems produced by other companies. What you will do?: On an average day, you will be required to:
- Assemble products as specified in drawings including:
- Electronic assemblies
- Mechanical components
- Cable and wiring harnesses
- Properly route wires within components (understanding of EMI/Coupling issues is a plus)
- Point-to-point continuity test using a Multi-Meter
- Move parts (ability to lift 50 pounds)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3+ years relevant experience
- Ability to competently use computers and electronic systems
- Ability to clearly communicate in written and spoken English
- Experience with Multi-Meters
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Experience with wire/pin crimping
- Splicing wires
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory (AC/DC)
- Ability to perform inventory counts
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work from hand sketches or engineering schematics
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools properly and safely
Additional desired skills:
- Hand soldering (IPC certification a plus)
- Experience with other lab tools such as Oscilloscopes and Network Analyzers
- Aerospace experience
- Experience working in a controlled environment
