Electro-Mechanical Manager Apply
Job Description
Compensation: $100,000–$115,000 base + 10% bonus (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Plant Manager
Industry: Plastics Manufacturing (Blow Molding, Injection Molding, or Extrusion Blow Molding Preferred
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for technicians, including documentation and downtime reporting.
Schedule and prioritize repairs, maintenance, and installations to minimize production downtime.
Evaluate maintenance work orders to determine priorities and resource needs (internal vs. external).
Collaborate with senior management to resolve technical issues and recommend improvements to machine reliability and performance.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards.
Research and recommend suppliers, materials, and technologies to improve maintenance performance and cost efficiency.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Assist in planning and budgeting for capital expenditures and future equipment upgrades.
Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance projects.
Support the training and development of technicians in setup, changeover, and troubleshooting best practices.
Oversee basic facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, and landscaping tasks.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for management review.
May travel periodically to assist other company locations with maintenance or training.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Technical or vocational degree/certificate and 10+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
Knowledge of OSHA 70E and NFPA standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate maintenance staff.
