Maintenance Manager 

Compensation: $100,000–$115,000 base + 10% bonus (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Plant Manager
Industry: Plastics Manufacturing (Blow Molding, Injection Molding, or Extrusion Blow Molding Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations in accordance with company and OSHA standards.

  • Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for technicians, including documentation and downtime reporting.

  • Schedule and prioritize repairs, maintenance, and installations to minimize production downtime.

  • Evaluate maintenance work orders to determine priorities and resource needs (internal vs. external).

  • Collaborate with senior management to resolve technical issues and recommend improvements to machine reliability and performance.

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

  • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure conformance with operational standards.

  • Research and recommend suppliers, materials, and technologies to improve maintenance performance and cost efficiency.

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues, diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions.

  • Assist in planning and budgeting for capital expenditures and future equipment upgrades.

  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies for maintenance projects.

  • Support the training and development of technicians in setup, changeover, and troubleshooting best practices.

  • Oversee basic facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial, and landscaping tasks.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for management review.

  • May travel periodically to assist other company locations with maintenance or training.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.


Qualifications: 

  • Technical or vocational degree/certificate and 10+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge of OSHA 70E and NFPA standards.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, train, and motivate maintenance staff.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
