Part-Time Electronic Security System Technician IIWe are looking for a Part-Time Electronic Security System Technician II who can help with installing, diagnosing issues, and testing electronic security setups such as access control, intrusion sensors, and network systems on an as-needed basis. This role involves working alone at times and collaborating with others on a Department of Defense security project. This position is contingent upon contract award.Responsibilities:Install and service electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection, infrastructure, etc.) according to project specifications and codesRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematicsPerform conduit and raceway installation, equipment rack assembly, cable installation, and cable terminationInstall system components including, but not limited to, head end equipment, security panels, card readers, and door hardwareAssist in system configuration and network integrationAssist in system verification testing and documentationMaintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materialsProvide on-site customer training and supportComply with safety protocols and quality standardsOther duties as assignedQualifications:Possess 2-4 years of experience in electronic security systems or a related fieldDemonstrate working knowledge of low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and alarm systemsLenel certification is preferred but not requiredActive Secret Clearance requiredExhibit the ability to work flexible hours and travel to various job sitesShowcase strong troubleshooting and communication skillsBe self-motivated with the demonstrated ability to take the initiative to troubleshoot and solve problemsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools (i.e. wire cutters, drills, screw drivers, etc.).Skilled in the use of testing equipment, such as multimeters, preferred.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.Electronic Security System Manufacturer Certifications Preferred (Lenel, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, DMP)Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.Employees may be required to work at heights using work platforms (lifts) or ladders.
