We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Summary:

  • Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulation, and analysis to predict component, interconnect, and system performance while optimizing designs for Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) performance.

  • Work under minimal direction to achieve Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electronics, wiring, and structures.

  • Interface with manufacturing on complex E3 design aspects and coordinate with suppliers to ensure system-level compatibility.

  • Report achievements, issues, and progress to program management and customers.

  • Support project management by coordinating the development of work statements, budgets, schedules, and conducting appropriate reviews.

  • Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.

  • Apply EMI engineering expertise to identify, document, and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Perform modeling, simulation, and trade studies to predict system and component performance and optimize design.

  • Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/EMC analyses and testing.

  • Collaborate on cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively in internal and external review boards.

  • Process engineering data into tables, charts, and graphs for inclusion in technical reports.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.

  • Typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry and 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination (e.g., Master's + 3 years, Ph.D.).

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics, or Physics.

  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a Master's/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.

  • Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC standards.

  • Experience with Aerospace Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3).

  • Familiarity with EMI qualification testing for aircraft LRUs, including reviewing test procedures and reports.

  • Understanding of aircraft-level E3 requirements and test methods (MIL-STD-464).

  • Knowledge of electrical bonding best practices to support E3 compliance.

  • Foundation in RF systems and/or computational E3 analytical tools.

  • In the U.S., ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
