Electrophysiology Technologist Apply
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking an EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Tech) for a top Healthcare client.
This specialized technical role operates under general supervision to prepare patients, operate complex equipment, and directly assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures. The Technologist is dedicated to providing the utmost quality in technical expertise and prioritizing patient care across the adult and geriatric patient populations throughout all examinations.
Job Responsibilities
- Make precise preparations for patients and procedural suites ahead of scheduled electrophysiology procedures.
- Operate highly specialized equipment used in electrophysiology (EP) studies and ablations under general physician supervision.
- Provide direct technical assistance to the physician throughout the duration of all EP and related cardiac procedures.
- Prioritize the safety and well-being of the patient as the number one objective during all procedural stages.
- Perform examinations and provide technical support for patients across the entire adult and geriatric age spectrum.
- Maintain all equipment and inventory within the EP lab, ensuring readiness and adherence to sterility protocols.
- Assist with other assigned duties within the cardiology department as needed to support efficient operations.
Requirements
Education
- Associate Degree is required.
- Graduation from an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program is preferred.
Experience
- New Graduates (New Grads) are accepted and encouraged to apply.
Certifications/Licenses
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) is required OR Registered Radiographer (ARRT) in combination with a Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
Skills
- Proven ability to operate and maintain complex electrophysiology lab equipment.
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail for assisting physicians during specialized procedures.
