Elementary School Teacher Apply
Berkeley Hall School seeks a dedicated and dynamic Elementary School Teacher to join our welcoming community. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging, standards‑based instruction for students in grades K-5, fostering academic growth, creativity, and positive character development. You will collaborate with colleagues, contribute to a supportive school culture, and work closely with families to ensure each student thrives. Using modern educational tools and strategies, you’ll create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons in all core subject areas for assigned grade(s).
- Implement differentiated instruction and assessment practices to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
- Foster a positive classroom culture that supports social, emotional and academic growth.
- Utilize instructional technologies ( interactive whiteboards, tablets, learning‑management software) as appropriate to enhance learning.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists and school leadership to develop curriculum, share best practices and align instruction.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, classroom activities and school events.
- Participate in school committees, professional development, and contribute to the life of the school beyond the classroom.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid teaching certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 2‑3 years of teaching experience in elementary education (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of curriculum standards, instructional strategies, classroom management and assessment methods.
- Comfortable using instructional technology and educational software in the classroom.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented school culture and engage positively with families and communities.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, student‑centered teaching and the values of Berkeley Hall School.
