Required:
The individual must have a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent technical field with 2 years of relevant engineering development work experience in software development, system design, or product validation of perception systems.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering development work experience in software development, system design, or product validation of perception systems.
Linux OS experience
Experience programming in C++, and/or Python
Analysis, and troubleshooting skills are required.
Experience with software development tools such as git, debuggers, and compilers.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in the areas of robotics, remote control, or autonomy
Experience with datalinks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and associated tools (CANape, Wireshark, etc.).
Ability to focus on multiple priorities and help where needed
Experience with a version management tool.
Willingness to work on a diverse team.
Excellent communications skills.
Great teamwork, communication.

Candidate Responsibilities:
This position is for a camera vision system engineer to support the remote control and semi-autonomous machine systems. The individual hired for this position will work as part of an engineering team to design, develop, integrate, and test of a camera-based vision system for remote control applications used equipment in a mining or construction environment.
Typical Day:
Work within small team developing (designing, coding, integrating and validating on bench or machine) camera based vision systems for remote control applications used equipment in a mining or construction environment. All features are validated in lab. Follow Agile bi-weekly sprint environment.
