About the Job:

The Software Engineer Embedded Linux C++ is responsible for design, development, testing and support of new and existing software components for the company's Reverse Vending Machines. The Engineer will be responsible for identifying, documenting and fixing defects and as well as working with the Validation team to create and execute comprehensive test plans. Will also be responsible for research and documentation of new and existing functionality and technologies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Development and Implementation of Reverse Vending Machine Software using C++ for the Full Product Line.
• Developing new features for our product lines.
• Resolving Issues related to Reverse Vending Machine functionality reported by our Validation team
• Provide support to organization.
• Contribution to the definition of software requirements and functional operation of our system.
• Continuous improvement of architecture, tools, and processes.
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience - Within Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar with a focus on Database usage in a distributed environment.
• 5 - 8 years of programming experience in embedded systems using Linux.
• Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software packages
• Experience with networking / distributed systems, Qt, revision control systems, computer vision or PLC programming are a plus
• High proficiency in C/C++ for embedded Linux systems
• Excellent communication and team working skills
• Motivated, independent, and structured way of working
• Very good language skills in English. German is a Bonus.
• Competent with relevant software (email, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint), Software development toolchains.

Additional Knowledge, Skills And/or Abilities Preferred:

• MS SQL (T-SQL in-depth knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, indexes)
• SSRS
• SAP Crystal Reports
• Experience developing windows software in one or more high-level languages
• Understanding of Object-Oriented programming
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with IIS
• IPSec/VPN, SSL (HTTPS/SFTP over SSL etc.), PKI
• Experience with PowerBI and MS Dynamics 365
