We have created a product that is advancing how hospitals and pathology labs to analyze and diagnose tissue samples. Our client works with one of the top hospitals in the country. They are using automation and precision sectioning technology to create a revolutionary imaging and analysis device.


We are looking for an Embedded Software Team Lead who will be involved in designing, developing, and testing device control software, both at the driver and at the application level. The candidate will also collaborate with other engineering groups such as mechanical, electrical and optics to gather software requirements, and provide software tools for streamlining product development. This is a chance to grow your career at a rapidly growing startup.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop software for medical devices within a well-established robotics framework.
  • Driver development for interfacing with motor controllers, cameras and sensors.
  • Develop algorithms for controlling a multi component mechatronic system based on software requirements.
  • Write software design and software test documents.
  • Invovled in software architecture design
  • Mentor/Collaborate with junior engineers and triage issues


Qualifications:

  • 5-12 years of embedded software experience
  • Experience writing C++ to communicate with hardware
  • Experience with closed loop progamming
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with message protocols (CAN, MOD, etc.)
  • Experience with ROS Framework
  • Good foundation in TCP/IP protocol stack.
  • Experience with multithreading
  • Experience with a Real Time OS (VxWorks, ROS, QNX)
  • Experience with PID or motion control
  • Experience of hardware communication interfaces such as Ethernet, Serial, SPI, I2C.
