Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Verification Engineer to apply principles of computer science and mathematical analysis in testing and evaluating embedded software and systems. The role involves conducting application testing from requirements through production and commercial deployment, particularly focusing on embedded devices and systems for product lines including diesel engines and mobile equipment.
Requirements
- Conduct rigorous application testing and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment.
- Set up bench tests needed to emulate Caterpillar diesel engines and test new or revised software using tools like dSPACE HIL and SIL.
- Review changes to application features and develop comprehensive test plans to verify software updates.
- Document testing results meticulously and ensure compliance with software quality standards.
Required Technical Skills:
- Experience with CAN, J1939, and Python.
- Proficiency in Debugging & Troubleshooting across requirements, logic, and code.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE, control modules, and wiring.
- Familiarity with development hardware & software related to testing of embedded systems, such as Vector, dSPACE, Lauterbach, or National Instruments products.
Soft Skills:
- Strong planning and communication skills.
- Effective documentation and teamwork capabilities.
- High engagement readiness with a technical curiosity and a desire to contribute to the development of diesel engines and mobile equipment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
