Overview The City of Holdrege is currently accepting applications for the position of Emergency Dispatcher I. This is a full-time position within the Holdrege Police Department serving the community by coordinating emergency and non-emergency response services. Position Summary: Emergency Dispatchers are responsible for receiving and dispatching law enforcement, fire, and medical calls. This position requires excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Receive and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel Operate computers, telephones, and radio communications equipment Maintain accurate written reports and documentation Monitor and manage multiple communication systems simultaneously Qualifications Must be 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Exceptional moral character No felony, domestic assault, or serious misdemeanor convictions Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $21.57 – $26.02 per hour (commensurate with experience) Full paid family health insurance provided by the City of Holdrege Retirement plan 9% with 9% city match Training provided Full-time position with bid shifts Rotating weekends and some holidays required Night shift differential Longevity pay and time off Mental and Health wellness plans Up to $4000 HSA deposit annually Holiday pay Uniforms and clothing provided And many more benefits Application Information This position will remain open until it is filled.
