Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency care to patients with a broad spectrum of medical conditions.
- Perform thorough evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct necessary medical procedures and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care processes.
- Engage in mentoring and supporting other medical staff within the department.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; board eligibility may be considered for current trainees.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
- Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting is desirable.
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required.
- Excellent clinical skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing patient-centered care.
