Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive emergency care to patients with a broad spectrum of medical conditions.
  • Perform thorough evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct necessary medical procedures and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care processes.
  • Engage in mentoring and supporting other medical staff within the department.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; board eligibility may be considered for current trainees.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of New York.
  • Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting is desirable.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required.
  • Excellent clinical skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, emphasizing patient-centered care.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in emergency medicine.
