What You’ll Do:

• Patient Assessment: Quickly assess and prioritize patients based on medical emergencies, conducting thorough evaluations to determine the level of care required.
• Life-Saving Interventions: Provide critical nursing care, including triage, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside a skilled team of physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to deliver comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment.
• Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining treatment plans and providing guidance on follow-up care.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing workloads and patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
