???? About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned Account Manager with deep expertise in Employee Benefits to join our dynamic client service team. In this critical role, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of employer clients-managing relationships, leading renewals, ensuring compliance, and providing consultative guidance across a range of benefits strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the trusted advisor for a portfolio of employer clients.
Conduct regular meetings to review benefits, address concerns, and guide strategic planning.
Collaborate with carriers and vendors to resolve service issues.
Benefits Strategy & Consulting
Analyze and compare benefit plans and pricing.
Offer data-driven recommendations to manage cost and improve employee engagement.
Stay up to date on compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and communicate implications clearly to clients.
Renewals & Open Enrollment
Lead annual renewal planning, strategy, and execution.
Partner with internal teams to support employee education and open enrollment logistics.
Oversee the delivery of enrollment materials and system setup.
Account Operations & Compliance
Ensure benefit plans are documented, administered, and compliant.
Manage carrier submissions and oversee workflows for onboarding, terminations, and changes.
Maintain accurate records in CRM and benefit platforms.
✅ Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in employee benefits account management, client service, or brokerage.
Active NYS Life, Accident & Health license required.
Strong knowledge of New York Community-rated small group plans and underwriting.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills.
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and benefit platforms (Bernie Portal is a plus).
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines independently.
