About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join a well-established Employment and Labor practice in Seattle, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least 5 years of employment litigation experience who is passionate about representing employers in sophisticated labor and employment matters.

The successful candidate will represent management-side clients across a broad range of employment disputes, provide strategic employment law counseling, and conduct workplace investigations. This role offers meaningful client interaction, complex litigation work, and opportunities to collaborate with experienced attorneys while building a long-term career within a respected and supportive practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in employment litigation matters in state and federal courts.
  • Handle wage and hour class actions and other complex employment disputes.
  • Manage all phases of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and argue motions before state and federal courts.
  • Represent clients before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and Washington Human Rights Commission.
  • Conduct workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, ethics violations, retaliation, and other employment-related issues.
  • Advise employers on employment agreements, severance agreements, workplace policies, and employment law compliance.
  • Counsel clients on wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, ADA, FMLA, trade secret, and non-compete matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional communication and practical legal guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to deliver high-quality legal services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum of 5 years of management-side employment litigation experience.
  • Experience handling wage and hour class actions and employment disputes in state and federal courts.
  • Experience representing clients before administrative agencies.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, and taking and defending depositions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills.
  • High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
  • Existing client relationships or portable business are welcomed but not required.
