About the Role Support renewable energy data analysis, data collection, cleaning, and writing with a focus on behind‑the‑meter solar analysis. Must handle large datasets, code in R or Python, and use web scraping and data collection methods. Research on renewable energy technology, policy, market, financing, and regulation. Key Responsibilities Data collection, cleaning, and analysis related to solar permitting, inspection, and interconnection. Leverage LLMs and other tools for web scraping and data collection to produce novel datasets for industry insights. Support research projects examining distributed solar policies and other energy‑related market analysis. Collect and analyze data for renewable energy supply options for large non‑residential, commercial, and industrial renewable energy buyers. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 3.0 cumulative GPA. Undergraduate: full‑time bachelor’s student. Post‑undergraduate: earned bachelor’s within 12 months, eligible up to one year. Graduate: full‑time master’s student. Post‑graduate: earned master’s within 12 months, eligible up to one year. Graduate + PhD: completed master’s and enrolled as PhD student. Required Skills: Expertise in data collection, organization, cleaning, manipulation; familiarity with at least one web‑scraping tool; R or Python. Must be personable, professional, and comfortable engaging with stakeholders. Preferred: Background in qualitative and quantitative data analysis; excellent research, written communication, organization, Excel and PowerPoint skills; interest in creative problem solving for novel data collection and processing efforts. Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 403(b) Employee Savings Plan with employer match; sick leave (where required by law).
