Job Summary Responsible to the assigned supervisor for performing intermediate level engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. Leadership & Guidance Leads project activity related to specific, unique, and/or highly specialized areas of engineering technology application. Leads, facilitates, and coordinates work activities of others within work group, team, department or other corporate entity as necessary, and assumes the role of project manager for assigned tasks. Coordinates and conducts training. Planning & Organization Ability Reviews planned work of others when assigned. Organizes and leads special projects and task forces as assigned. Problem Solving & Initiative Demonstrates superior problem‑solving skills in area of specialization which earns expert recognition within the company. Communication & Interpersonal Skills Projects credibility and competence on technical issues and has highly developed presentation skills. The minimum qualifications below are for Engineer Associate. What We’re Looking For This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET. * A degree in electrical engineering is the preferred degree ABET Information ABET – Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable Alternatives (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non‑ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program. VP or Above Waiver ***VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with a Non‑ABET accredited program.
