Team members are encouraged by their superiors to push themselves and are provided with the resources to ensure that success is achieved.We are currently searching for an Engineer for the Baymont by Wyndham in Hearne, TX.Why Work With Us?It's a fun company to work for!We recognize efforts and reward resultsPromotional opportunities with a growing companyGreat benefits package, including 401KRequirements:Be able to manage time effectively, complete required tasks on timeStrong understand of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) requiredNeed to be a team player if you like to work on an island by yourself, this won't be a good fit for you!Must be able to convey information and ideas clearlyMust maintain composure and objectivity under pressureMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessaryMust be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guestsMust be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functionsEducation & Experience:At least 2 years of experience in a hotel environment at the Engineer level requiredHVAC certified, Pool certified, Technician certified and/or combination preferredStable work history requiredResponsibilities:Ensure guest and employee safety through proper maintenance of building systems and facilitiesRespond promptly to maintenance requests related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural issuesDevelop and manage a preventive maintenance program for all building systems and guest roomsPerform basic carpentry, painting, renovation, and furniture adjustments as neededMonitor and implement energy conservation measures, tracking usage via meter readingsOversee maintenance of all fire safety equipment and ensure complianceMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized workspaceSupervise and assign tasks to maintenance technicians, managing work orders and keeping accurate recordsMaintain pool equipment and grounds, including cleaning, chemical balance, and logsConduct daily facility inspections to identify and address potential issues in public areas and meeting spacesMaintain inventory of all keys and equipmentCoordinate with General Manager for projects requiring outside vendors or contractorsSupport other departments and perform additional duties as requestedHMC is an equal opportunity employer.
