Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Draper, UT

Pay Rate: $35.00 - $42.00/hr

Work Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: 12 Months

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering theory and principles to improve industrial layout and manufacturing production processes. This role involves creating engineering drawings, interpreting blueprints, and analyzing production workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze time, motion, methods, and production speed to establish standard production rates and improve operational efficiency.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and formulas; collaborate with management and engineering teams to define quality and reliability standards.
  • Review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification documents to ensure compliance with quality assurance requirements.
  • Support planning of work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
  • Develop charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.


Required Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative team player.
  • Ability to produce sketches, engineering drawings, and perform standard engineering computations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Experience with engineering-related software and computer applications, including Computer-Aided Design (CAD).


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant manufacturing or industrial engineering experience required.
