Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Flight Systems Engineering Capability is currently seeking Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) Requirements Engineers (Associate Level 2) to join the Phantom Works VMS Requirements team located in Berkeley MO. This position will support programs within Phantom Works and the Air Dominance Division within the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The position will be supported by the Flight Systems Engineering Capability which is responsible for performing Flight Engineering across a large portfolio of products and development programs. Responsibilities Develop software requirements and design for a Vehicle Management System (VMS) Apply model-based engineering techniques to design and verify system requirements; interpret requirements to formulate and test mathematical models Working with subject matter experts design solutions for a variety of capabilities such as airplane subsystems (i.e. actuation) signal processing redundancy management system monitoring and controls Coordinate and integrate requirements across engineering disciplines Verify and validate software against designed requirements in virtual and hardware test environments Conduct analysis to support certification of a Vehicle Management System Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry 1+ years of experience in an engineering role Additionally the following will be beneficial capabilities for the position: Experience with modeling and simulation Experience in Matlab/Simulink Experience with software requirements software design hardware software integration and testing Knowledge of VMS design activities (HW/SW design integration modeling and test procedure development) Experience with Microsoft Visio Clearcase C++ C# Visual Studio Python An active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months Education and Relocation Typical Education: (Associate Level 2) Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
