About the Role The Cloud Foundations platform team builds and supports an Infrastructure-as-Code platform used by hundreds of software teams throughout FIS to build resilient, scalable, high performance financial applications. As an Engineer Senior Lead, Cloud Infrastructure on this team, you will lead the design, delivery, and evolution of cloud infrastructure platforms that support mission‑critical financial services. You operate at scale, shaping cloud strategy while remaining hands‑on with complex engineering challenges. Success in this role is measured by platform reliability, security, cost efficiency, and the ability to enable teams to deliver faster with confidence. What You Will Be Doing Design and build scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable software‑based cloud infrastructure platform components supporting high‑availability systems. Lead cloud engineering initiatives across architecture, build, deployment, and operations. Define and enforce cloud standards, patterns, and operational best practices. Define and create automation using infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines. Partner with application teams to enable cloud‑native and hybrid solutions. Ensure infrastructure platform meets security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Monitor performance, availability, and cost optimization across environments. Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root‑cause analysis. Mentor senior engineers and guide technical decision‑making across teams. Required Qualifications Advanced cloud engineering experience delivering production platforms at enterprise scale. Hands‑on experience architecting and building infrastructure in a large company using Terraform Enterprise, Harness, and Python. Strong expertise with public cloud services, networking, identity, and security controls. Hands‑on proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management tools. Experience building and operating containerized and orchestrated workloads. Proven ability to design for reliability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. Experience integrating cloud platforms with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to lead through complex technical challenges. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience creating architectures for regulated or highly available transaction‑based systems. Knowledge of site reliability engineering and resilience engineering practices. Experience with multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environments. Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards. Cloud platform or DevOps certifications.
