Engineering Adjunct Instructor

Title: Engineering Adjunct Instructor Agency: Rappahannock Community College Location: Gloucester - 073 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: Salary will be $793 to $1,463 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience. Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Job Responsibilities The successful candidate will teach freshman and sophomore-level engineering and engineering technology classes at the Glenns campus. Teaching assignments and schedules will include evening on‑campus coursework and online learning. The candidate will use a variety of delivery systems including interactive video, web, and other electronic media. Classes currently available include: INS 220 Introduction to Fluid Power (Hydraulic and Pneumatic Control Systems) – Mondays 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. ELE 143 Programmable Controllers I – Tuesdays 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Finalists will be asked to present a short sample lesson. Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree or higher in Engineering or a related field, and at least 2 years of related occupational experience. Possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources. Must be available to teach face-to-face classes in the evening on the Glenns campus. Additional Considerations Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering.
