Summary:
-
This is a safety-sensitive position and will require participation in an FAA-approved Drug and Alcohol screening program.
-
Consistently and accurately disassemble, clean, evaluate, repair, modify, and assemble aircraft components in accordance with approved data.
-
Work independently with limited supervision.
-
Use precision measuring instruments and gauges such as feeler gauges, dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers.
-
Perform detailed component repairs by filing, stoning, lapping, and polishing.
-
Utilize power and hand tools for drilling, sanding, and riveting.
-
Clearly document evaluation results and communicate repair requirements for work performed in-house or sent to outside sources.

Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) requirements, FAA and EASA regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Follow procedures outlined in component maintenance manuals, service bulletins, ORI's, OREI's, drawings, and check sheets.

Competently use torque wrenches and fully understand SAC torque specification SS9300.

Chemically treat repaired surfaces in accordance with approved data.

Review and interpret related paperwork to ensure accurate part identification and operational sequencing, and record information on the appropriate documentation.

Perform tasks such as drilling, reaming, tapping, changing studs, installing helicoils, and fitting bushings/liners using shrink fitting and arbor press techniques.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Automotive trade school preferred.
-
FAA Airframe License preferred, but not required.
