The pay range for this Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager position is $73,000.00 to $132,000.00, based on labor market, education, experience, and certifications. Shift: Tuesday – Saturday, 4:00PM to 2:00AM. Position Overview This role enables high performance of the supply chain facility by fostering a reliability‑centered maintenance culture that ensures equipment availability and supports efficient product flow. Responsibilities Provide leadership to Maintenance Technicians, Utility Attendants, and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Software Technicians, cultivating a sense of urgency and quality focus. Deliver solutions for challenging problems, work with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment usage, manage external contractors, be on call for emergencies, and handle multiple projects and day‑to‑day activities within tight timelines. Develop a continuous‑improvement ethic in the team through a data‑driven daily process focused on root‑cause elimination. Improve system reliability by owning defect handling, eliminating breakdowns, and planning and scheduling maintenance. Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve engineering and maintenance departmental goals. Lead and develop the team, providing coaching, performance management, constructive feedback, guidance, and administering performance reviews. Oversee onboarding and completion of required training for new hires and enhance the team’s capability over time. Maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. Own accuracy and timeliness of performance metrics within the shift and develop communication processes for shift hand‑offs. Develop emergency repair work plans for critical assets and oversee the escalation process during downtime incidents. Act as a safety ambassador, promote safe working practices, conduct safety investigations, and review incidents to determine root causes. [F&B Only] Execute sanitation and maintenance standards that support the health of industrial ammonia refrigeration. Manage health, reliability, and life‑cycle of all site commodities, including material handling equipment, lighting, power distribution, backup generators, fire suppression, balers, compactors, compressors, dock doors, HVAC, OTR trailer fleet, and powered industrial truck fleet. Approve financial expenditures for parts within corporate guidelines and validate the quality of work performed by external contractors. Ensure data integrity and adherence to Asset Management standards. Qualifications 4‑year degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Previous supervisory experience in a team‑oriented environment. Comfortable working in a temperature‑controlled environment. Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures. Ability to manage, lead, and influence team members while prioritizing multiple projects. Experience with multi‑contractor management. Self‑motivated, customer‑centric mindset. Excellent PC competency. Self‑starter capable of managing multiple complex projects and adjusting priorities to meet product flow needs.
