Project Engineer I The Project Engineer I provides engineering support for existing or modified products, including filter housings, filter elements, hydraulic products, diagnostic products, and PLC controlled systems. The role involves cost estimation, sales documentation, production support, product design development, and component specification. The engineer will support corporate sales and marketing efforts through direct interaction with personnel and customers, including sales trips and distributor support. Additionally, the engineer will develop new products from concept through design, testing, and introduction, and evaluate, improve, and certify new products for production. Responsibilities Provide engineering support for existing or modified products. Support cost estimation, sales documentation, and production for sales orders. Develop new products from concept through design, testing, and introduction. Evaluate, improve, and certify new products for production. Provide manufacturing engineering support for new or modified products. Assist in the design of new tooling, fixtures, assembly equipment, and stamping tooling. Collaborate with sales and marketing personnel and provide direct customer interaction. Create and review Standard Operating Procedures, assembly drawings, technical manuals, and other documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with BSME preferred. 1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks or equivalent CAD systems. Excellent knowledge of ERP, spreadsheet, and word processing software; SAP is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication ability. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of product design, project management, and schematics in fluid power is preferred. Fluid Power Specialist Certification required within eighteen months of employment. Work Environment The role is based in a very clean and organized office environment, with a fully stocked break room offering drinks, food, and snacks. Initially, the position requires in-office work five days a week, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule of four days in-office and one day remote after a few months. Job Type & Location Permanent position based out of Leetsdale, PA. Pay And Benefits Pay range: $57,000.00 - $57,000.00/yr. Health, Vision, Dental Insurance. 401k. PTO. Holiday.
