Engineering Co-op Position at Plug Power This full-time, hourly position is available for the Spring to Summer 2025 terms in Rochester, NY or Slingerlands, NY . The Co-op will work closely with various engineering disciplines, including: This role offers a fast-paced, hands-on experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment. The Co-op will gain a deep understanding of Plug Power’s products while contributing to various projects and process improvements. Core Responsibilities: Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all Plug Power products. Data Analysis: Work alongside senior engineers and management to analyze and interpret data. Process Development: Assist in developing engineering processes under guidance from senior engineers. Problem-Solving: Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to make minor repairs. Experimentation: Independently set up experiments, monitor progress, and analyze results. Project Management: Successfully complete technical projects, documenting and presenting results at the program’s end. Professional Representation: Uphold professional conduct in all interactions. Qualifications: Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Prior internship or co-op experience is preferred. Transportation: Reliable transportation to the office is required. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Technical Skills: Background/experience with statistical analysis. Solid hands-on approach to problem-solving. Proficiency with relevant software systems (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills. Personal Attributes: Dynamic interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Strong project management and multitasking skills. Demonstrated analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. Excellent follow-through and a driven, self-motivated work ethic. Commitment to ethical standards and high-quality work.
