This role involves analyzing specifications, collaborating with the engineering team, preparing design layouts, performing CAD work, and participating in product testing and modifications.**Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:*** Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.* Collaborate with engineering staff to provide technical information regarding design, manufacturing techniques, materials, and process limitations.* Assist in the selection of materials, heat treatments, coatings, tolerances, and dimensioning requirements for product design and manufacturing processes.* Utilize Quality Assurance inspection equipment and interpret data and reports as necessary.* Prepare product design layouts and detailed drawings using CAD software, following proper presentation, and naming conventions.* Support Product Testing in the development and testing of prototype product components or assemblies.* Communicate with research and engineering personnel to implement design modifications as needed.* Modify product designs to address design or manufacturing deficiencies and reduce production issues through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).**Education and/or Experience:*** High school diploma or GED, currently pursuing a college degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.* Experience with AutoDesk AutoCAD 2000, 3D SolidWorks, PLM System, PDM Works preferred.* Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.Pay Range:21.60 - 26.40We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, vision, 401k matching, and more!Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
