Engineering Manager

Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the manufacturing industry to hire an experienced full-time Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of a highly skilled engineering team while aligning efforts with company objectives and goals.

What YOU will do:
  • Lead and coordinate engineering functions including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Act as a liaison between customer service, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure clear communication of specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects as a project manager, creating timelines, cost projections, and organizing collaborative meetings.
  • Prepare and execute departmental budgets.
  • Support research and development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, developments, and technologies to enhance product lines and improve production efficiency.
  • Supervise and guide the engineering team, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and day-to-day workflow.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • In-depth understanding of structural engineering theory and design criteria.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Drafting) and CAM (Computer-Aided Machining) software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
