About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating engineering projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment while providing technical guidance to team members. Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team. Foster a customer centric culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting their professional growth. Project Management Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Develop project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and ensure project milestones are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering projects with overall business objectives. Technical Leadership Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team. Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements, and incorporate relevant innovations into the development process. Resource Management Manage engineering resources efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization of skills and expertise. Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent. Communication Foster open communication within the engineering team and with other departments. Report on project status, milestones, and challenges to executive leadership. Risk Management Identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address and resolve issues to minimize impact on project timelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (5 years) in engineering management or a similar leadership role. Strong technical background. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Portuguese. Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with cybersecurity is a plus.
