About You and This Role: Dow presents an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Project Leader located in Fort Saskatchewan (AB, CAN). The Project Leader steers engineering activities for capital and expense projects across all phases, from Front-End Loading to Startup. This role involves leading multi-discipline engineering efforts for capital projects or acting as a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Project Lead. It includes managing engineering efforts on intermediate or smaller large projects on a global scale, including M&A and Divestitures, generally limited to single plant or business implementations. These projects are typically repeatable MET implementations, requiring fewer cross‑functional resources and limited third-party contract/PO management. Expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in your discipline is essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead project execution and mentor the team in applying the Global Project Methodology (GPM) work process. Oversee overall planning and organization during design and construction phases. Create staffing plans and coordinate all design engineering, procurement, and construction activities. Lead project execution planning, including the development of contracting strategies. Evaluate project risks and formulate mitigation plans. Initiate, monitor, and revise the project schedule and estimates, closely tracking project costs and progress. Manage changes to established scope and baselines, taking corrective actions to meet project goals for cycle-time, cost, and quality. Provide as‑built and operations/maintenance documentation to the facility. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Registration or the ability to be registered with APEGA (EIT/P. Eng). Legal authorization to work in Canada is required for this position. No visa sponsorship/support is available.
