Engineering Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical Design: Design and development of mechanical systems, components, and equipment, ensuring functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • AutoCAD/Inventor Expertise: Utilize Inventor/AutoCAD to create 3D models, detailed drawings, and assemblies for manufacturing. Emphasis/experience preferred on pump/ Piping systems.
  • Plant3D: Create/edit P&ID's for chemical plants.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and refine mechanical systems and products from concept to production.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, BOMs, and assembly instructions. Prepare and edit civil utility type layouts on plant.
  • Manufacturing Support: Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production processes, cost, and quality.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Education & Experience: 2-year Associate's degree in engineering or progress toward a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in 2D and 3D drafting. Machine drawings / civil / P&ID.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor (modeling, assembly, 2D P&ID, and technical drawings).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to present ideas, collaborate with team members, and interact with clients or stakeholders.
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) a plus
