Overview Are you a hands-on CNC Swiss expert who thrives in precision manufacturing — especially in medical devices and spinal implants ? Do you enjoy owning machine setups, dialing in processes, and getting to first article approval quickly and confidently ? We’re looking for a high-impact Engineering Technician who can step in, set up CNC Swiss machines, stabilize processes, and help produce life-changing medical components with precision and efficiency. Why This Role Is Exciting Work on medical device components, including spinal implant manufacturing Take ownership of CNC Swiss machine setups and process optimization Make an immediate impact on first article success and throughput Collaborate directly with engineering, programming, and quality Compensation tied to your level of expertise and independence What You\'ll Do Set up CNC Swiss machines (tools, collets, guide bushings, offsets, etc.) Drive first article approval and establish stable production processes Preset tooling to reduce downtime and improve consistency Upload/download programs and adjust offsets to meet specs Set up bar feeders and automation Perform in-process checks to maintain a centered, capable process Change tooling and manage tool life Read blueprints and GD&T Communicate with programmers to meet cycle time and throughput goals Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts Strongly Preferred What We\'re Looking For Experience machining medical device components Experience with spinal implants or similar tight-tolerance parts Confident CNC Swiss setup experience (independent setup capability) Ability to stabilize a process from setup through first distribution Technical Skills CNC Swiss setup expertise (Star, Citizen, Tsugami, etc.) Understanding of G/M code GD&T and blueprint reading Precision measurement tools & inspection methods Tooling setup and offset adjustments Strong troubleshooting ability Pay Range $22 – $35 per hour Your Rate Determination CNC Swiss setup independence Medical device / spinal implant experience Programming knowledge Ability to run multiple machines Troubleshooting expertise Ideal Candidate Profile CNC Swiss Setup Technician Engineering Technician (Medical Device) Swiss Machinist ready for next step Process Technician with medical manufacturing background Manufacturing Technician specializing in precision parts What Makes You Stand Out Experience with tight tolerance implant components Ability to own setup without supervision Strong process stabilization mindset Knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments (FDA/ISO) Make an Impact This isn’t just another machining role — you’ll help manufacture precision components used in spinal procedures , where quality, accuracy, and repeatability truly matter .
