Overview This is administrative, technical, and supervisory work in the performance of skilled sub‑professional engineering tasks in the office or field for the employing jurisdiction. Salary Mobile County: $55,771 – $89,159 City of Mobile: $47,000 – $75,137 Mobile Area Water and Sewer System: $53,085 – $84,865 Salary amended 1/28/2025, 10/11/2025. Minimum Qualification & Qualifications Graduation from a standard senior high school, or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, supplemented by two years of college‑level coursework in land surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, and a minimum of five years experience in sub‑professional engineering work, including supervisory and administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. Special Requirement May be required to possess a valid driver’s license from the state of residence. For details, see Class Specifications | ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN III | Class Spec Details (). Application Process All applications should be submitted online through the Mobile Civil Service Job Opportunities page.
