Engineering Technician III The Engineering Technician III will work on the production floor with plant technicians at Niagara facilities across the country. Tasks include performing diagnostic visits on production lines in preparation for annual rebuilds/overhauls, participating in those line rebuilds/overhauls as part of a team, and supporting plants in need of assistance. Essential Functions Providing Plant Support for Niagara Facilities Assist plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians with repairs on production machinery. Provide input on long-term facility success, including the Focus Line Process. Diagnostic Visits Identify problems and wear & tear on machine centers. Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions. Develop suggestions for parts and labor during annual rebuilds/overhauls. Annual Rebuilds/Overhauls Work in teams of 4 with plant maintenance teams. Prepare machine centers for repairs/rebuilds based on diagnostic findings. Training Attend machine center-specific master class training as a baseline. Assist in evaluating Technician skills via written assessments. Contribute to the training of Technicians through on-the-job training and suggest additional training modules. Help develop and implement OJT-style training programs. Travel requirements: Approximately 75% of the year. Note: This description is not exhaustive; duties may change at any time. Qualifications Minimum: 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and in a similar role; 2 years managing people/projects. Preferred: 6 years’ experience in similar roles and managing teams/projects. *Experience may include a combination of work experience and education. Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively in teams and with maintenance staff. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and exhibiting leadership. Detail-oriented and adaptable to a dynamic environment. Must be an SME in relevant machine centers.
