Engineering Technician Apply
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES Conduct electrical testing of power supplies with the Engineering group on test bench. Perform assembly of product or equipment if required. Work with engineering group to complete required tasks and activities. Compile test data from testing and review test results with engineers. Perform Qualification, Safety Agency and Design Verification Testing for new and existing products. Confere with Engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as equipment issues, malfunctions, incomplete test data, and data interpretation. Analyze indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications. Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommend changes in product or test method. Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving equipment performance or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control. Check calibration stickers and certificates of Safety Engineering equipment as soon as annual calibration is complete to ensure that relevant information is correct and measurement uncertainty meets UL Document 00-OP-C0034, Equipment Accuracy Requirement. Troubleshoot and repair damaged products if required. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Associate’s Degree or higher in electrical or electronics field. One to two years of relevant experience. Work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of electronic test techniques and equipment. Knowledge of DC, AC, and analog circuits is required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Know Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word processing software. Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions. SALARY RANGE The starting hourly rate for the role is between USD $26.00 to $30.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
