Hold regular office hours and attend weekly meetings during the appointment. Wage/Salary: $3,894 per term ($649 monthly based on 8 hours a week) Days/Hours: 8 hours per week Number of Openings: 1-7 Expected Start Date: 08/17/2026 Expected End Date: 12/31/2026 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Post‑baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units. Bachelor’s degree; meet all eligibility requirements per the Student Employment Policies; enrolled in one of the English department’s graduate programs and are in good academic standing. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Not specified (none listed). HOW TO APPLY & DEADLINE: Complete the Writing Program Teaching Associate Application. Provide required materials before the application deadline. All first‑time teaching associates must attend the pre‑semester workshop and weekly meetings. Transcripts (unofficial copies are sufficient for application; official copies required if recommended for a position). Curriculum Vitae (include 3 references). One‑page teaching philosophy related to first‑year composition. Provide a syllabus for ENGL 1001, a prompt for a major assignment, and a class schedule showing how the assignment will be taught.
