Summary: We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design and modernization of complex IT solutions within the rail transportation industry. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of IT experience and more than 10 years of technology architecture expertise, with a strong background in enterprise frameworks, event-driven architectures, and rail system modernization.

Position Info:

  • Title: Enterprise Architect
  • Client: Amtrak
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Location: Washington, DC 20002
  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement architecture solutions for rail transportation systems.
  • Utilize enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF, BizBok, and DAMA.
  • Modernize large-scale rail transportation systems using event-driven architecture.
  • Work with technologies including IBM Mainframe, TPF, Java, and Spring-based microservices.
  • Apply enterprise information management and architectural modeling techniques.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of IT experience with 10+ years in technology architecture.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, BizBok, and DAMA.
  • Proven experience with event-driven architectures and large-scale system modernization.
  • Familiarity with IBM Mainframe, TPF, Java, and Spring-based microservices.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience leading teams and engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SAFe methodologies.
