Job Summary: | The Laboratory of Translational Psychiatry in the Departmentof Psychiatry, Division of Neuroscience, is seeking an entry-level research professional to join their growing team of researchers usingmouse models and cutting-edge techniques to probe the biological mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders and driving thetransmission of intergenerational stress. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates looking to expand their laboratory experience! Research specialists are paramount to our lab operations. Entry-level professionals provide support services facilitating research,managing transgenic mouse colonies, and assisting with data collection, sample processing, experiment procedures and molecular assays.Examples of techniques used in the lab include cell culture, Western blot, DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR/PCR, electrophysiology, immunohistologyand microscopy, mouse dissection, and animal (mouse) behavior assessments and manipulation. Qualified applicants should possess abachelor's in biology, neuroscience, psychology, or related field, and be familiar with working in a research lab. Research professionalsmust be comfortable working with rodents in a research setting and ideally have experience with animal research models. KeyResponsibilities:

Anticipated PayRange: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $42,088 $46,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of therange of possible compensation at the time of posting.
