Overview VHB is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Structures group in our Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC office. Responsibilities Participate in the structural design of transit and highway structures from conceptual to final design Participate in site visits to collect data necessary for preliminary design Assist in drafting of project details and plans using Microstation, AutoDesk or other CAD software Preparation of quantity calculations and cost estimate Assists in preparing contract documents and specifications Skills And Attributes Effective and comfortable in a highly collaborative environment Strong technical skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility Eager to learn and take on technical challenges Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality Qualifications B.S. in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) 0-1 years of structural engineering experience We are VHB!
