Full-time Description Belstra Group Farms is a pig production organization with over 20 swine farm facilities located in Northwest Indiana. Belstra is in search of an individual to be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring nutrient management plans while ensuring environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with farm managers, applicators and local farmers to analyze soil data, manure nutrient content, and crop needs in order to make land application recommendations. Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to): Monitor manure containment systems (pits, lagoons, composters, impoundments) Conduct manure and wastewater testing Track manure volumes, storage levels, and seasonal impacts Coordinate manure application timing, rates, and pricing with licensed applicators Maintain nutrient application records for permitted farms Build relationships with crop farmers, agronomists, fertilizer companies, and applicators Support regulatory compliance and participate in bi-annual inspections with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the Illinois Department of Agriculture Requirements Skills and Requirements (included but not limited to): Strong record-keeping and analytical skills Seasonal workload fluctuations may require extended hours during peak application season. Effective communication across divisions to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manure practices. Physical Demands: Standing, walking in fields, and being on feet 8 to 10 hours per day Occasional bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling. Lifting up to 50 pounds Work in different environments (dust, heat, cold), uneven terrain, and frequent outdoor work Education and Experience: Associate’s degree or higher in agronomy, soil science, crop science, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in nutrient management (manure or fertilizer) #J-18808-Ljbffr
