Dizario Search is partnered with a client in the metals manufacturing industry and they are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading safety initiatives, managing compliance with regulations, and supporting occupational hazard identification and control at a large 24/7 manufacturing plant. The position involves working closely with plant leadership to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed while driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead identification, analysis, and control of occupational hazards.
• Advise on structural safety requirements and implement protective safety measures.
• Oversee internal audits, accident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs.
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary EHS projects across teams.
• Maintain compliance with industrial safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a safety role, ideally within a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing large, complex EHS projects and working with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or similar preferred.
• Expertise in compliance, risk assessments, and safety system development.
